2025 Tax Returns

Tax dates are January 27th through April 15th, 2025.

After many years of serving our customers insurance needs, the Cavalieri Insurance Agency has opened Cavalieri Tax Services.  We look forward to working with you this tax season.  Minimize your cost, Maximize your refund.

To file an individual tax return, you’ll need to gather several pieces of information and documentation. Here is a list of common items required for completing an individual tax return:

Personal Information:

  1. Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) for you, your spouse, and dependents.
  2. Full legal name and address for you, your spouse, and dependents.
  3. Date of birth for you, your spouse, and dependents.

Income Information:

  1. W-2 Forms (for wages and salary income) from all employers.
  2. 1099 Forms for any other income such as:
    • 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC (self-employment income or freelance work)
    • 1099-DIV (dividends)
    • 1099-INT (interest income)
    • 1099-G (unemployment income, state tax refunds)
    • 1099-R (retirement income, pension distributions)
    • 1099-B (sale of stocks, bonds, or other securities)
    • 1099-K (income from third-party payment networks like PayPal or Venmo)
  3. K-1 Forms (for income from partnerships, S-corporations, estates, or trusts).
  4. Other income: Alimony, rental income, business income, gambling winnings, etc.

Deductions and Credits:

  1. Form 1098 (Mortgage Interest Statement) if applicable.
  2. Property tax receipts if claiming deductions for state and local taxes.
  3. Charitable donation receipts (cash and non-cash contributions).
  4. Student loan interest statements (Form 1098-E).
  5. Medical expenses (if itemizing deductions).
  6. Childcare expenses (name, address, and SSN of childcare provider).
  7. Education expenses (Form 1098-T for tuition, Form 1098-E for student loan interest).
  8. Retirement account contributions (e.g., IRA, 401(k), or HSA contributions).
  9. Receipts for any other tax-deductible expenses (e.g., business expenses if self-employed, moving expenses, etc.).

Tax Payments:

  1. Record of estimated tax payments (if applicable).
  2. Last year’s tax return (for reference or carryforward information like capital losses or tax credits).

Other:

  1. Bank account information for direct deposit or direct debit (routing number and account number).
  2. Health Insurance Coverage Information (Form 1095-A, 1095-B, or 1095-C, if applicable).
